On your tour, you'll ride along the dike, further and further until you arrive in Marken. There you can visit the lighthouse and the clog makers. In the cute harbour with old boats, you will also find the Marken Express towards Volendam. On board, you can have a drink and enjoy the view of the IJsselmeer and the Gouwzee.

The most popular route is to cycle from Volendam to Marken. If you want a truly unique experience, we recommend pedalling from Volendam to Monnickendam. This is a lovely former fishing village that has remained nice and authentic. From here, you ride to the small farming village of Zuiderwoude. Less than 300 inhabitants live here, but it is a very popular village to visit. You then set course for Broek in Waterland. Voted one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands in 2020.
Broek in Waterland is known for its "Waterland style" wooden houses and its nice narrow waters. Many famous Dutch people also live here. From Broek, drive back to Volendam via Overleek (very beautiful nature) and Katwoude.
