Explore the surroundings of Purmerend
There is plenty to do in Purmerend itself. Visit the town centre, have a nice bite to eat on the Koemarkt or sample a beer on one of the many terraces. If you want to explore Purmerend's surroundings by scooter, there are plenty of great destinations. Volendam is about 12 kilometres away and the Zaanse Schans about 13 kilometres. The route is beautiful, during the trip you will pass an authentic windmill, an ice cream parlour selling delicious soft ice cream and a couple of large cheese farms.
Important info about renting the electric scooter
To rent an electric scooter (chopper), you need to have a moped, motorbike or car driving licence. If you do not have this, you are not allowed to ride the scooter. Alternatively, you could rent an electric fatbike.
The scooters are electric and have a driving range of 50-60 kilometres. This is enough to enjoy yourself in the beautiful surroundings of Waterland.
Furthermore, 2 people are not allowed on the scooter. The electric fatbikes are suitable for two people, though.
We will deliver the electric chopper to your accommodation
Our nearest rental branch is in Volendam. We offer the service that we can deliver the vehicles to your accommodation. Please follow the appropriate steps for this:
- Select the number of days you want to rent the scooter
- Select the number of vehicles (1 person per E-scooter)
- Select the start date
- Select your accommodation
- Complete the booking by entering your details and making payment
We will drop off the E-scooter at your accommodation between 09:30 - 10:30. The vehicles will be collected again between 16:00 - 17:00 at the accommodation.
Excess insurance in case of damage
All our vehicles are third-party insured. In case of damage, we charge a maximum excess of € 1,500 per damage case. It is possible to reduce your excess. This costs € 5 per vehicle per rental. This will reduce the excess amount from € 1,500 to € 350.
