The Cheese Factory Volendam, not to be confused with the cheese farm in Katwoude, is a real attraction in Volendam. In this cheese shop located right on the harbour, you will find cheese, cheese and more cheese. Here you will learn more about the golden good for which the Netherlands is so famous. During an educational journey of discovery, visitors are explained the cheese production process and the history of cheese making. Of course, you can buy many different types of cheese here, in fun Volendam packaging. Cheese-making demonstrations

At the fun Cheese Factory in Volendam, you can not only buy cheese, there is also the opportunity to attend a demonstration in various languages. You can attend the demonstration as an individual visitor, but groups are also welcome. This tour takes place downstairs, below the shop. You can see how cheese is made and, of course, try several cheeses. During the tour, you will get an explanation of how cheese used to be made and how it is done today.
